Singapore celebrated SG60 through its love for music.

The historically significant Fort Canning Park transformed into a landmark music festival on December 6 and 7 2025, for Sing60 Music Festival.

More than 60 homegrown acts celebrated six decades of Singapore music across multiple genres and generations. Over 6,300 people1 spread across the lawn with picnic mats, good food, and good company. The crowd soaked in the diverse lineup throughout the day.

Each ticket sold sponsored a youth from an underserved background to attend the festival – a beautiful initiative of giving back to the community.

Here are some highlights:

Homegrown Icons at the Fort Canning Green Stage

While the main stage showcased Singapore’s musical legends, on the other side of Fort Canning Park at the Battlebox underground bunker, EDM lovers could also enjoy local talent with back-to-back DJ sets that got people grooving and dancing.

lullaboy

lullaboy

lullaboy has been making waves with his blend of emotional pop and R&B, including his classic hit ‘someone like u’.

During his set, beyond showing love to his “lullafam”, he expressed his appreciation for his fiancée with a cover of Broery Marantika’s Indonesian classic ‘Widuri’.

The singer-songwriter and producer delivered emotionally charged love songs with uniquely intimate lyricism, including ‘amazing grace’ and ‘shortcut to heaven’.

Imran Ajmain

R&B singer Imran Ajmain received a warm welcome from longtime fans and friends who have followed his 20-year career.

The singer-songwriter opened with ‘Seribu Tahun’ (‘A Thousand Years’), a classic from his debut album released two decades ago

He acknowledged Singapore’s enduring warmth for his performances over the years. Imran Ajmain then dedicated ‘Selamat Ulang Tahun… Sayang’ (‘Happy Anniversary, My Love’), to SG60.

With heartfelt eye contact and rich vocal reverb, he performed a cover of P. Ramlee’s ‘Getaran Jiwa’ (‘Soul Vibration’). Both artists are icons in the Singaporean and Malaysian music scene.

His sweet, melodious voice concluded with a charming Malay message, ‘kurangkan santan, kuatkan santun’ (roughly translated to ‘less coconut milk, more courtesy’).

Shye

Self-taught musician Shye needs no introduction, having graced both National Day celebrations and international stages. She showcased her guitar skills with the alternative rock track ‘Cecilia’.

Shye also performed a special cover of The Cranberries’ ‘Dreams,’ which included a verse in Cantonese. She shared how her father’s love for the band connected to his own love story, meeting her mother (his dream girl), which brought Shye into the world.

The indie-pop singer will undoubtedly continue to grow her presence as a talented local artist.

Charlie Lim & Corrine May

What a treat to witness two soulful voices in perfect harmony. Charlie Lim took the stage first with the acoustic guitar track ‘Bitter’. The song was released 10 years ago as part of the TIME/SPACE album.

The audience experienced a full-circle moment when Corrine May joined him on stage with a piano for a duet of ‘Kite’. The song’s message about having a strong anchor to soar felt especially fitting. It was performed exactly 10 years after its premiere at the Sing50 concert.

The spotlight then shone on Corrine May, who performed her single ‘Fly Away’, a soothing piece about unconditional love.

60 young guitarists took the stage, led by a team of dedicated musicians to perform an original song, ‘Me and My Guitar’.

The young musicians were beneficiaries of Gift A Guitar, an initiative providing youth with guitars and music lessons. The initiative raised funds through guitar auctions donated by notable Singapore Icons including Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, JJ Lin, and Taufik Batisah.

PM Wong appeared on stage to present a signed guitar to the winning bidder – homegrown tech firm Sea Limited, represented by founder Forrest Li, who placed a winning bid of $650,000.

As the heartwarming moment concluded, fans eagerly awaited the final act of the Homegrown Icons segment, the one and only Benjamin Kheng.

Armed with a sleeveless top and an electric guitar, singer-songwriter Benjamin Kheng got the crowd pumped up with ‘REALLY IN LOVE’ and ‘Wicked’. The fans clapped and sang along.

The multi-talented artist, who is also an actor, writer, and content creator, delivered the ultimate throwback. He brought out his Sam Willows members to perform ‘All Time High’ and ‘Take Heart’. Narelle Kheng, RRILEY, and Jonathan Chua were the energy boosters for the night, singing their hearts out and jumping alongside Benjamin Kheng.

He was ‘Not Alone’ for his finale, as Shazza and RRILEY performed his National Day Parade hit for that emotional singalong moment, fitting for the SG60 music festival.

Tiramisu feat Bloco Singapura

Tiramisu is a Singaporean indie rock band formed in 1998. For those unfamiliar, the band is known for their out-of-this-world stage costumes and sound, providing fresh performances.

The indie rock band performed songs like ‘Mr Fantesticles’, a signature favourite that embodies Tiramisu’s chaotic, genre-defying blend of rock, disco, punk, and experimental influences.

A Vacant Affair

Five-piece Singaporean post-hardcore band A Vacant Affair closed the night with a setlist packed with their popular hits.

Their high-energy, intense set featured hardcore/alternative rock anthems like ‘The Departure’ and ‘We Are Not The Same’ from their 2008 album. The lead singer cheekily shared his “condolences to people who are watching us for the first time”.

The band has been active for over 20 years and remains influential in Singapore’s heavier music scene. They closed the night with ‘The Dawning’ and ‘Mirrors’.
