SEVENTEEN captivated Carats with their brilliance and beauty, right here at the National Stadium on Sunday, 26 January 2025. This was Day 2 of the two-day concert in Singapore as part of the group’s RIGHT HERE World Tour.

The 13-member group showcased their powerhouse performances on the H-shaped stage without missing a beat, even though two members, Jeonghan and Jun, were not present due to other commitments.

The three-hour show was a satisfying treat for the audience – filled with high quality vocals, performances, antics on stage, and chemistry.

The stage lights flashed red while dancers moved to the intense intro music with fiery LED screens behind them.

Is red fear or love?

Just then, Wonwoo took center stage with a strong gaze. Singing just a single line from their hit song ‘Fear,’ cheers erupted across the stadium as the other members slowly made their entrance behind him. ‘Fear’ was the title track of SEVENTEEN’s third full album, An Ode, which won the Album of the Year award at the Asia Artist Awards in 2019.

Decked in black fits, the group’s dark and edgy side shone through ‘Fearless’, which not only showcased their strong live vocals, but also a clean choreography. The stage heated up with SEVENTEEN and pyrotechnics on stage.

Accompanied by a live band, this rendition of ‘Maestro’ dominated the stage. Music master Woozi opened the song on the organ, and the members performed quick, fancy footwork, cleverly using props like batons and music stands.

Did you know? The song used sounds from seven of SEVENTEEN’s older songs1.

SEVENTEEN then introduced themselves, and Carats cheered every time a member spoke. Hoshi indulged himself as he walked down the stage for his horanghae moment (his signature “I tiger you” paw greeting). The members and crew were used to his antics, as the band played his soundtrack and the Horangdan crowd responded automatically with the horanghae sign.

His spotlight continued as he sang a snippet to his solo song, ‘Spider’, followed by BooSeokSoon’s ‘CBZ (Prime Time)’. He was joined by the rest of the BSS members, Seungkwan and DK, who seriously performed all out.

Next, The8 taught Carats the SEVENTEEN slogan, as the members spread out on the main stage to do the slogan together.

The fiery theme continued with ‘Ash,’ a track featuring strong bass and deep hip-hop flow, highlighted by Vernon’s cool and confident rap. The LED screen turned black and white, simulating the feel of ash. More pyrotechnics were set to follow.

As they moved to the extended stage, SEVENTEEN kept their energy up and synchronised choreography with ‘Crush’.

Right after the vcr, ‘Water’ started flowing down the LED screens as the Hip-Hop Unit of SEVENTEEN revealed themselves on the main stage. S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon dripped with confidence in grey-white fits. Fans may have had a hard time keeping themselves above water when S.Coups and Mingyu appeared in sleeveless tops, gloves, and sunglasses.

After performing the high-energy and powerful song, the quartet continued to hype the crowd with ‘Monster’. As they rose up the triangular platform on the extended stage, the members showed up in animal masks. With nonchalant expressions, swag moves, and dramatic synth elements, the unit definitely embodied the essence of Hip-Hop.

Next up was the Performance Unit – Hoshi, The8, and Dino. As they exited from capsule doors, the members were greeted by female dancers to perform ‘Rain’.

Wearing loose black outfits and cool accessories, the trio performed with charisma, showing off suave choreography and even partnering with the dancers.

As the audience took in the melancholic cityscape on screen, the middle platform rose to form the SEVENTEEN logo. The Performance Unit then performed a sensual intro of ‘Lilili Yabbay,’ followed by clean and intricate choreography as the bpm sped up.

The Vocal Unit – Joshua, Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan was up next. Looking ethereal, they kept to the theme of time and space with a soulful ballad, ‘Candy’.

As they harmonized for ‘Cheers to Youth,’ Carats waved along to the beautiful melody. DK pointed his mic to the crowd, asking fans to sing along “one more time” (or multiple times), while the members spread out on the extended stage.

The third vcr of the night featured scenes of the members enjoying leisurely activities, hinting at the next concert segment.

Time To Play!

DK gave a quick shoutout to chilli crab as SEVENTEEN emerged from a time capsule onto the next stage set. The set included a bed (which Vernon claimed), sofa seats (where The8 relaxed), and a basketball hoop (where Mingyu celebrated a shot). Joshua and Seungkwan entertained the crowd with their badminton skills too.

SEVENTEEN showed a cute and casual charm with beloved summer track, ‘Oh My!’. There were plenty of endearing antics. At one point, you could say Vernon pretended to be a sleepy NS-boy dressed in a camping outfit with that buzz cut.

There was even a Jumanji section – which was a jungle battle with dancers in animal costumes. Since SEVENTEEN was in Singapore, their chilli crab group dance move was super effective!

Then, they ‘dove’ into the blue sea with ‘Snap Shoot’ while shooting their love towards Carats across the stage. The vibe was cheerful and upbeat, and included a shot of “Mingyu time!” who ran across the stage hand in hand with a smiling Dino.

Even while having fun and teasing each other during ‘God of Music’, the choreography remained tight and their strong live vocals proved why they were Carat’s heavenly idols.

During ‘Ima – Even If The World Ends Tomorrow,’ the members roamed the stage, engaged in fanservice. The instrumental solo and melody of the song created a sense of movement and adventure.

This was how the band members were introduced — each got adventurous with roses and a cup of blue confetti for their solos, entertaining the crowd. Thus, the audience responded enthusiastically when Hoshi asked if they were having fun.

Feeling right at home

After Seungkwan told the crowd to sit down and rest, SEVENTEEN did a fan energy check starting with Dino who led the God of Music chant. The fans were in high spirits as the sing along was loud and clear.

Hoshi commented that Carats were not only good at singing, but can also dance. This time, The8 led the fans to wave their carat bongs (lightsticks) to the beat of the drum, followed by Joshua’s guitar version and Seungkwan’s dramatically deep piano time. The finale was DK, who acted out the bass version with his tummy, which was well received.

Dino wrapped up the segment with an eight-beat dance combo, ending in an MJ-inspired pose on his toes.

The spotlight then turned to Vernon, who taught the iconic dance move to ‘Home’. Fans waved their flashlights at Mingyu’s request when they started singing the song on the rising triangle platform. Listening to it felt like being wrapped in a warm blanket.

As the concert neared its end, the final vcr was screened. It was interesting to see that all the videos highlighted SEVENTEEN’s strength and unity, emphasising their identity as one cohesive group.

SEVENTEEN re-appeared in relaxed neutral fits for ‘LOVE,MONEY,FAME (feat DJ Khaled)’.

Fans could not stop singing to ‘DON QUIXOTE’ after the members sang a snippet of it. At this point, we could see SEVENTEEN were inseparable from the white towels on stage.

SEVENTEEN’s karaoke continued with an a capella of ‘Shadow’, followed by band versions of ‘SOS (Prod. Marshmello)’, ‘To you’ and ‘_WORLD’. Carats were especially loud singing along to ‘Kidult’.

It was then time for a carat bong wave, with The8 guiding Carats to create a gentle and elegant wave around the stadium. The moment was even more sentimental as SEVENTEEN’s unreleased song, ‘相遇的意义 (The Meaning Of Meeting),’ played in the background.

Seungkwan had only praises for Carats who in his eyes was “swee la”. Other SEVENTEEN members also had their Singlish moments, like when Dino had to break some bad news, and the members responded with “alamak” and “aiyoh”. Mingyu enjoyed interacting with the well-known translator in Singapore, April Kim. He was amused by how his “I’m so sad” and “I feel so good right now ha ha ha” were translated with precise tone and emotions.

DK dramatically acted, even crying and sniffling, as he announced that they would be singing the last song of the night. However, Dino teased that the “last song” wasn’t just one song and encouraged the crowd to rock together till the end.

SEVENTEEN advanced forward with ‘March’, another visual feast of red lights, pyrotechnics, dancers, and cool choreography.

The stage then ignited with ‘Super,’ featuring the iconic entrance of The8 and Woozi, lifted up by the other members. The rock band version of ‘Super’ was incredible, with loud chants of ‘I love my team, I love my crew’ resonating outside the stadium.

Mastering the art of interaction

The encore stage finally began. Carats in the audience appeared with the lyrics on screen as they sang along to ‘Darl+ing,’ ‘Rock with you,’ ‘Clap,’ and ‘CHEERS.’

SEVENTEEN appeared wearing their concert merch. Known for producing their own music and engaging the audience, they headed straight to the carts to show their adoration towards their fans as they sang ‘Adore U’.

It was all about seeing their fans up close – as they moved around the venue on carts (which looked like it was steered manually) while singing ‘’bout you’ and ‘Campfire’. A lucky young Carat was gifted S.Coups cap.

Thanks S.Coups 🩵💗🤩 you made a core memory for Celeste! For people who are wondering, she got the cap 😉✨️ @seventeen17_official 🙏 Carats, please share your videos of this super cute moment with me 🥺 #svt #singapore #scoups #seventeen #세븐틴 #scoups #svt_right_here_woldtour

As they sat on the risen platform on the main stage, it was time for their ending ment. Hoshi shared that performing in such a stadium was an honour and hoped to see their fans for a long time. Vernon, Mingyu, and DK expressed their happiness and they loved the great energy in Singapore. Joshua, The8, and Wonwoo thanked Carats for waiting for them and promised to come back.

While the members had similar thoughts and feelings, there were some standout moments:

The return of Pi Cheolin. One of Dino’s variety show personas is known for his unique sunglasses greeting. He responded in the same way when fans continued shouting for superstar Pi Cheolin.

Circles without cues. Woozi led the Carats to sing ‘Circles’ in just a split second without any cues. Carats were praised for their wonderful singing.

An ode to a loved one. Already teary eyed when it was Seungkwan’s time to talk, he wanted to express his gratitude for fans and also his late friend who’s birthday fell on that day, through a beautiful a capella of his meaningful solo track, ‘Dandelion’. His emotional and heartfelt delivery definitely reached the sky that night, and fellow Carats.

I will protect SEVENTEEN. Said by leader S.Coups, he added that if SEVENTEEN could add to Carats’ happiness, then it is a reason to continue to be an artist.

On repeat: Aju Nice!

The party was just getting started, as SEVENTEEN asked the audience to stand up, drop their phones (and shyness), for the encore party.

It was ‘VERY NICE’ to see some arm flexes, fan interactions, water splashes, and confetti drops (and Mingyu running to The8 when it happened, IYKYK).

The contagious energy spread through the crowd, including “crazy” Carats that even shocked Seungkwan. ‘VERY NICE’ had not ended its streak.

DK and Hoshi’s charismatic banter was then a smooth lead-in to ‘HOT’. The members roamed around the stage and barricades to the delight of fans.

Mingyu and Dino then dropped the hint for the next party song, ‘HIT’. Hoshi then held his hand up to ‘CHEERS’ for the next song. Not only did S.Coups and Hoshi rocked the dance break, DK and Joshua shyly joined in too.

The encore continued with ‘CLAP’, ‘Fighting (Feat Pi Cheolin)’, and’CBZ (Prime Time)’. SEVENTEEN then said their goodbye greetings and left the stage, before running out again for their second encore.

Second encore

The dance party continued with ‘Holiday’ and another round of ‘VERY NICE’, and DK’s snippet of ‘Eyes on you’ as the stage partition closed for the final time, signalling the end of the concert.

It was amazing to witness such high energy on stage from start to finish, even with multiple “aju nice” moments. The crowd responded enthusiastically, waving their carat bongs to the beat of the songs. SEVENTEEN, we will hold on to your promise to come back to Singapore!
