ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) made time felt like an eternity for fans, also known as Zerose, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 28 September 2024.

This was ZB1’s first overseas stop as part of their 2024 ZEROBASEONE THE FIRST TOUR [TIMELESS WORLD].

It was apt for this 5th generation K-pop group to have a time-themed tour, considering their birth from a time-consuming reality competition, and tagged to a countdown.

World of ZEROBASEONE

The concert started with a 10-seconds countdown, as the stage opened to reveal all nine members standing dashingly on a platform like a time portal. From their third mini album, You Had Me At Hello, ‘Solar POWER’ was their opening soundtrack, accompanied by pyrotechnics as they made their way to the extended stage.

ZB1 started with charisma, accompanied by smooth acoustics fused with old-school hip-hop tunes with ‘Road Movie’, from their latest mini-album, CINEMA PARADISE.

Without pausing, they continued performing slick and fast moves with ‘Take My Hand’. Zerose would gladly take their hands and hearts for support!

Dressed in black fits with embellished silver, they continued to impress Zerose as ‘New Kidz on the Block’ and went around the stage with lots of fanservice and interactions.

Back at the main stage, ZB1 wasted no time and transitioned to ‘KILL THE ROMEO’, a sharp, cool song with a touch of afro beats. There was plenty of footwork and delegated choreography that hit almost every beat while effortlessly showing off their vocals.

Opening Ment

ZB1 then took a moment to introduce themselves, each member saying their hello in English. Ricky also spoke in Chinese during the opening ment, and shared that this was his first time in Singapore.

Kim Gyu Vin told the members that this was not his first time here and said he fell in love with the city. Zerose also could not get enough of Kim Ji Woong and Seok Matthew as they temporarily took off their coats during the short break.

Focusing back to time and space, ZB1 then performed ‘CRUSH’ accompanied by a time portal, asteroids, and the Milkyway on the LED screen. They definitely crushed the beat-hitting choreography and jumps.

The VCR provided a cute distraction until ZB1 re-appeared in casual attire, mostly in jeans, denim and jacket fits to ‘In Bloom’. Their debut single showcased fresh and youthful vibes, showing how these 17- to 25-year-olds have blossomed since Boys Planet.

The heartwarming vibes continued with ‘Insomnia’ from their latest mini-album that had dreamy beats and a cute choreography on a sofa.

Zerose was then serenaded with ‘Good Night’, followed by Zhang Hao’s solo performance to ‘Always’ at the extended stage. Zhang Hao was the first non-Korean to win first place on an Mnet survival show, and his natural charisma and stage presence was proof of that.

Boys Planet Throwback

ZB1 then had us in a timeslip – fans were treated to a Boys Planet Throwback with a sensual rendition of ‘Over Me’ by Ji Woong, Ricky, Matthew and Park Gun Wook and upbeat ‘Switch’ by Sung Han Bin, Kim Tae Rae, Gyu Vin and Han Yu Jin.

The body waves, neck touches, string choreography, red lights and even the abs reveal by Matthew during Over Me took center stage, not letting fans get over their mature side. They also did not forget the dance break, an ode to the games concept on the LED screens, and confetti for Switch.

All nine members then performed ‘En Garde’, with Han Bin displaying his tutting skills. It was apt for En Garde’s outfit to be a top that seemingly looks like a fencing outfit with gold chains.

The members maintained their vocals, energy and tension even after the countless fast choreography. ZB1 also got Zhang Hao to “save Zerose in his heart” using the iconic catchphrase made popular by Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon.

More playful and lovely antics ensued during ‘Say My Name’ and the iconic ‘Here I Am’. During Here I Am, fans were given the opportunity to be on the screen beside a ZB1 member, including a fanboy who was “here, but was not there” to complete Tae Rae’s heart sign. Zhang Hao led the group with the dance break and hyped the crowd even more.

Maturing With Time

ZB1 was not done with showcasing their mature and sexy image. Following another quick change, this time in dark, leather outfits for R&B track, ‘Dear ECLIPSE’. The choreography involved a silver string, hip thrusts, and a lethal body wave -floorwork combination.

The stage got hotter literally (with pyrotechnic) and figuratively with ‘Hot Summer’. ZB1 showcased a charismatic and tantalizing performance with stable vocals.

The members were still not over the concept, as ZB1 made each member do a sexy action – from Ji Woong’s sudden breakdance-backbreaking display, to Gyu Vin’s signature move in ‘Love Killa’ and Gun Wook’s iconic ‘Hot’ dance from Boys Planet, Gen-Z-Rizz Matthew and more.

ZB1 then followed up with ‘SWEAT’, with feel good beats and singalong melodies that was bound to make Zerose groove along, with a burst of confetti. They then took the time to wave and say hello to the fans during ‘Kidz Zone’, as balloons filled the area.

Right on cue, ZB1 continued with the rhythmic and cute pop track ‘Feel the POP’. As they interacted with fans at the extended stage, the members also shared their affection for Zerose with Singlish.

It was almost time for the concert to end with ‘GOOD SO BAD’, as fans sang along with ZB1, and Han Bin showed his signature heart tutting choreography. Both ZB1 and Zerose probably wanted to stop time so badly then, as the members repeatedly sang the chorus.

HELLO Encore

ZB1 re-appeared wearing Timeless World merch, and adorable accessories for the encore stage. They also switched their head mics for hand mics for this segment.

The encore stage featured songs which were light-hearted and had cheerful rhythms like ‘YURA YURA (Korean Version)’,’And I’, and ‘Sunday RIDE’. Time was of the essence, so the stage was packed with cute and solid vocals and endless fanservice.

ZB1 said their closing ment with a mix of languages – English, Singlish, Korean, and Chinese. Zhang Hao emphasised that that in order to cotinue supporting them, fans have to be healthy and sleep well.

Overall, all the members had the opportunity to shine at various points throughout the concert.

Zerose then watched ZB1 singing them goodbye with ‘HELLO’. With only a spotlight on the nine members and beautiful singing that hit right through Zerose’s hearts, ZB1 had us at Hello, once again. If only we could rewind back to the start of the show.

Fans could scan a QR code on the screen to receive a copy of a handwritten letter from ZEROBASEONE.
